Green-backed Heron
There’s a new — or perhaps old, but newly exposed — weir-type-barrier under one of the bridges in the Arboretum. A green-backed heron was fishing from it very animatedly at lunch today…

Neat! We saw 2 (never happened before) on a wire a couple of weeks ago, but I was driving the kids to a homeschooling function and couldn’t stop to draw or even take a photo.
