No Shortage of Birds to Draw

Cottontails grazing There have been birds, and I’ve even taken a pencil or pen to a couple, but I’ve been getting two or three lines of raptors in flight (and a mourning dove).

White-tailed kite, display -- watersoluble graphite Today’s no exception; here’s a white-tailed kite in flight. But a grazing cottontail outside the window gave me a chance to play with rendering fur…

  1. I actually like that the kite is not in detail – gives you a sense of their blur as they whiz by. Oh rabbits, I feel so ambivalent toward them, but yours are very cute, and more importantly, NOT in our garden! ;)
