Mourning Dove

Mourning dove, Derwent coloursoft on Fabriano Ingres Dove hunting season starts tomorrow, so I may not get a chance to see mourning doves for a while. I’m always astonished at a) how pink they are; b) how very tiny their heads are.

  1. Five or so mourning doves have made themselves at home on my deck, so you are welcome to come over any time you want to see some more. Indeed, they have very small heads! They are also very friendly toward humans (at least this human), but very agressive toward other birds at my bird feeder…
