The Last Ratatouille
Pica harvested the last of the zucchini and eggplant the other day. The one green pepper she added to it turned out to be quite picanté.

Numenius is a geographer by training and temperament. He is a Bay Area native, and grew up roaming the East Bay hills. Pica takes her cue from Pica nuttalli, the endemic magpie of central California, chatty and alighting on gleaming things. Pica has another blog, Bird by Bird, in which she records her sketches of birds.

I don’t garden myself but belong to a CSA. We’re still getting eggplant but alas, no tomatoes or zucchini. So I need something else for the ratatouille. Lots of Bok Choy, but that would make a rather different dish.
Speaking of ratatouille, I finally got round to seeing the movie of the same name. What a joy – I left the movie determined to make the most of living close to Paris – and ravenously hungry!
